About EndPropertyCrime
The Idea
The Developer is currently a high school senior living in California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, where property crime is not really a problem but remains a concern to many people. As part of The Developer's Civics class, they are required to make a change in society, so they decided to make a website that calls awareness and prevention of property crimes.
Why a Website?
It is almost impossible to spread the message on foot, through advertisements, or by other means of networking, I also wanted to spread property protection awareness to as many people and communities as possible. As such, a website seems like the best idea, in addition to the widespread availability, users may access it at any time and the information can be applied to everyone. Making a website using Wix also allows me to easily make changes or updates to the information, as well as the ease of making these changes as I will not have to replace physical posters/flyers/billboards with new ones or making frequent trips.
This is my first time making a website, and it will only get better with time.
Future Plans
This is an ongoing project, new information will be added or removed with time, such as the property crime statistics menu which will be changed year to year. I might also include more accurate/specific information if I could lay my hands on them, so stay tuned :)
